I'm new to blogging, and to paper crafting. I purchased a $0.99 book at the Salvation Army on paper crafting to use on my coffee table. I made the mistake of opening it and viewing the designs within the pages. That $0.99 book changed my life and has cost me hundreds of dollars at my local craft stores! LOL. I started with pre-made cards and added torn paper and basic stamping for Christmas cards. Then I began paper folding and collage making for Christmas presents. I used a wooden ruler, an exacto knife and Elmer's school glue to make these projects. I then started to think about all those photographs that I had stashed in boxes ...could I use some of the same designs for those? So, I started a scrapbook for my daughter. For embossing, I purchased a Cuttlebug folder and used a soup can (boy, were my arms tired!). I now own a Cricut Expression (first had the personal but had to upgrade), a Gypsy, a Cuttlebug (my arms are so happy), a Martha scoring board, a cutter, and the list goes on and on.... My husband thinks I've gone crazy but you all know the truth - I was bit by the scrapbooking monster, and I'll never be the same again!
My projects now consist of Scrapbooking, Card making, collage, decoupage, vinyl designs, glass etching, exploding boxes, and anything else I can think of. I think my next venture will be mini books - there are so many ideas out there for them!
Anyway, thanks for reading. I'd love to hear how any of you out there got "bit" by the scrapbooking monster. ;)
